So I was looking through my old YouTube favorites, and found this drift video of an old Polish van.

While the video itself isn’t that remarkable, just some guys hooning an old van, I don’t think many people know what this vehicle is.

My first experiences with this were back in the then Soviet Estonia, when my dad hauled drunk people around in it. Don’t know the details. I just remember riding along with him. Then again, they could have been just regular people, as wasn’t everyone in the 80s USSR constantly drumk?

He also drove it on a winter Rally course once and got a time comparable to the real contestants, of course the car didn’t even remotely meet the required specs to officially compete against the rally prepped Ladas and Moskvitches, so it’s not a fair comparison.

Anyways, what this is, is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which was apparently in production in Poland until 1994. It was built on the same platform as the more popular Zuk van. Both vehicles being built on an ancient Soviet Gaz Pobeda platform. What I find remarkable is that this thing was built until the 90s.

Anyways Oppo, what weird car related videos do you have in your YouTube favorites?
